About Project
The Eight Point Wind Energy Center now consists of 31 wind turbines in in Steuben County, New York, and an associated transmission line originating in Greenwood and traversing through Hartsville and landing at the NYSEG-Bennett substation in Hornellsville, NY, connecting to the grid managed by the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO).
Eight Point Wind LLC is an affiliate of NextEra Energy Resources. PJ Dick was the general contractor to build the wind facility and Suncoast Reinforcing was the rebar installer subcontractor for bases of the wind towers in the phased project.
